MY STORY:

I began my career in the legal industry in 2009 with the Virginia Unemployment Commission doing legal transcription for unemployment claims. Since then, I have continued to work in the legal field, learning knowledge about family law, criminal defense, civil litigation, and landlord and tenant law. I also began doing notary signings. I obtained my professional paralegal certificate online through Penn Foster College as well as my associate degree in criminal justice. I decided a few years later to obtain my bachelor's degree and to go to law school to become a licensed attorney. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my bachelor's degree in legal studies from Post University in May 2023 with a 3.78 GPA. I enrolled and began my journey at law school in August 2023, and am completing my 1L at the end of this year. After being a paralegal for the past 10 years, I decided to break away from the traditional paralegal role.

Without paralegal support, attorneys become overwhelmed and overworked. They burn out, lose steam, lose their passion, and start to make mistakes. I created VirtuPara to provide senior level paralegal services on a virtual basis to help assist solo lawyers and law firms alike.
